We extract and work our slate from five different mines in Valfontanabuona (Genoa) and Argentina Valley (close to the French border).
We extract our material from underground.
In order to cut our slate in blocks of suitable dimensions, we use a saw with a diamond blade. Then we take the blocks to our facilities.
The block quality is fundamental for the inalterability, the strength and duration of the final product. For this reason, the veins and mine selection is the result of constant research and expensive testing, which allows us to guarantee our products and their characteristics.
In our workshop slate blocks get cut into slabs of the same thickness by multi-blade frames.
